A Spring Performance by the Queen City Concert Band

On Sunday, May 5, 2019, at 2:00 pm, the Queen City Concert Bandproudly returns to Memorial Hall OTR for “The Elements.”
This free performancewill feature a number of notable works inspired by the wonderous elements of our universe, namely: wind, water, earth, sky, fire, and spirit. Selections include Brian Balmages’ evocative title piece “Elements,” John Barnes Chance’s spirit-filled “Incantation and Dance,” the essential Earth, Wind and Fire R&B/Funk single “In The Stone,” local composer Brant Karrick’s rhythmically diverse musical portrayal “With Wind and Water,” and many others. The show promises an unusual variety of symphonic wind pieces that will stir the senses.
“As an ensemble, we’re very pleased to bring this unique and exciting program to Memorial Hall,” explains QCCB associate conductor, Lee Black. “And we hope people of all ages will set aside May 5 and join us!”

Memorial Hall is conveniently located at 1225 Elm Street, in the heart of the revitalized arts district of Over-the-Rhine. Secure parking is available in Washington Park’s 450-space underground garage facility directly across the street from Memorial Hall, or at nearby Mercer Garage on Vine Street. Handicapped parking and wheelchair accessibility are also available.
