A Spring Performance by the Queen City Concert Band

On Sunday, May 6, 2018, at 2:00 pm, the Queen City Concert Band proudly returns to Memorial Hall OTR for “Queen City at the Movies.”
This free performance will feature a number of notable scores from the Hollywood movie soundtrack, including John William’s otherworldly main title from “Star Wars,” Elmer Bernstein’s movie western masterpiece “The Magnificent Seven,” Nino Rota’s haunting and reflective Love Theme from “The Godfather,” Richard Strauss’s 2001 A Space Odyssey opener “Also Sprach Zarathustra,” Klaus Badelt’s powerful and dramatic “Pirates of the Caribbean,” Michael Giacchino’s self-assured and distinctive “The Incredibles,” and many others.
“As an ensemble, we’re very pleased bring this fun and exciting program to Memorial Hall,” explains QCCB associate conductor, Tasha Grismayer. “And we hope people of every age will set aside May 6 and plan for an entertaining afternoon filled with musical movie magic.”

Memorial Hall is conveniently located at 1225 Elm Street, in the heart of the revitalized arts district of Over-the-Rhine. Secure parking is available in Washington Park’s 450-space underground garage facility directly across the street from Memorial Hall, or at nearby Mercer Garage on Vine Street. Handicapped parking and wheelchair accessibility is also available.
